Staff Attorney

Legal Services for Prisoners with Children (LSPC) seeks applications for a Staff Attorney position in our Oakland, California office. The position is full-time, regular and exempt.

The staff attorney will work with the entire LSPC staff to determine legal direction for the organization. LSPC provides technical assistance to legal services providers and other advocates on a wide range of topics including family law, prisoners’ rights, and domestic violence. While we do not provide direct legal services, we have a great deal of direct contact with people in prison, family members, and members of communities that are deeply impacted by the prison industry.

Senior Staff Attorney

Legal Services for Prisoners with Children (LSPC) seeks applications for a Senior Staff Attorney position in its Oakland, California office. The position is full-time, regular and exempt.

The senior staff attorney will work with the entire LSPC staff to determine legal direction for the organization, as well as lead our legal team in any litigation. LSPC provides technical assistance to legal services providers and other advocates on a wide range of topics including family law, prisoners’ rights, and domestic violence. While we do not provide direct legal services, we have a great deal of direct contact with people in prison, family members, and members of communities that are deeply impacted by the prison industry.

Policy Manager

Legal Services for Prisoners with Children (LSPC) seeks applications for a Policy Manager position in our Oakland, California office. The position is full-time, regular and exempt.

The Policy Manager coordinates the legislative and administrative policy activities of the entire agency, supervises our Policy Fellow program, trains staff and community members on policy advocacy, and runs the Legislative bill tracking committee. The Policy Manager is a member of LSPC’s policy coordinating team, made up of the Executive Director, Sr. Staff Attorney, Development Director, and Policy Fellowship participants.
